ELL Solutions Forum

English Language Learners and Designing Effective Bilingual Programs was a professional development opportunity hosted by state Senator Florence Shapiro, Chair, Senate Education Committee, and Senator Leticia Van de Putte at Region 20 Education Service Center in August 2010. The BPC has collected best practices from the presenters (Brownsville ISD, Montwood High School/Socorro ISD, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD, and Plano ISD, with an additional best practice summary from KIPP SHINE Prep in development). A video of the ELL Solutions Forum, materials provided by the presenters, and best practice summaries can be accessed here.
