The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF)
US Department of Education
TEA has received two Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) grants from the US Department of Education. SLDS grants fund the creation and enhancement of education data systems that allow states to manage and use education data. This will enable states to make “data-informed decisions to improve student learning and outcomes; as well as to facilitate research to increase student achievement and close achievement gaps.”
The second SLDS grant that TEA received was offered via the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009, as part of that legislation’s investment in education infrastructure.
