Updated financial data available

Downloadable 2012 actual and 2013 budgeted data are available through the PEIMS Financial Data Downloads page. The actual and budget data are available in three formats: single file (.csv), multiple file (.txt), or Microsoft Access database (.mdb); and the Actual data are available for 2000-2012 in Excel. Financial reports of 2012 actual and 2013 budgeted data for a particular district or campus are available through the PEIMS Financial Standard Reports page.

Legislative presentations posted on TEA website

The Texas Education Agency has begun posting its legislative presentations on the agency website. The latest presentation, dealing with the federal sequestration issue, is now available.

House Subcommittee on Budget Transparency and Reform: Sequestration

Without congressional action this week, sequestration action will cause an estimated $167 million reduction in federal funds to Texas public schools. The Texas Education Agency's chief grants administrator outlined the possible cuts before a legislative subcommittee today.

Blue Ribbon Schools and Terrel Bell Award recipient to be honored Monday

Sixteen Texas public schools will be honored as Blue Ribbon Schools and an Austin principal will be recognized as the recipient of the Terrel Bell Award at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, during the TASA Midwinter Conference. The ceremony will occur in Ballroom D of the Austin Convention Center.
