Education Agency submitted its application for a federal preschool
expansion grant that, if awarded, could provide $30 million per year for four years. Jointly administered by the U.S. Department of Education and
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the new Preschool Development
Grants Program will award federal funds through a competitive process to help states
build, develop and expand voluntary, high-quality preschool programs for low-
and moderate-income families.
