2/4/2013 -- On Monday, Feb. 4, the Texas Education Agency opened the Expenditure Reporting (ER) system to allow corrections to ARRA Section 1512 quarterly reporting data submitted for the quarter ending December 31, 2012, for the following grant programs:
The continuous corrections period will close March 1, 2013 at 5 p.m. No action is necessary unless your LEA has identified data that needs to be corrected. Revisions may only be made to data submitted for the period ending December 31, 2012, for the two programs listed above.
12/13/2012-- On Monday, December 10, 2012, the Texas Eduction Agency opened the Expenditure Reporting (ER) system to allow local educational agency (LEA) reporting of ARRA Section 1512 quarterly data ending December 31, 2012.
ARRA Section 1512 Quarterly Reports for the reporting period of October 1 through December 31, 2012, are due from LEAs to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) by 5:00 p.m. Central Time, January 5, 2013. The ER system will close at 5:00 p.m. in Central Time, January 5, 2013. LEAS should plan accordingly in order to meet the quarterly reporting deadline.
This reporting requirement applies to all ARRA funds distributed by TEA for the following grant programs:
- Education Jobs Fund (Ed Jobs) Grant
- ARRA Title I, School Improvement Grant (SIG) (Texas Title I Priority Schools) as applicable if the grantee's Notice of Grant Award (NOGA) identifies ARRA SIG funding

Reporting Fraud, Waste, or Abuse of ARRA Funds
Texas State Auditor's Office (SAO)
The SAO investigates allegations of fraud, waste or abuse involving state funds and resources, including ARRA funds. To report fraud, waste or abuse (or suspicion of fraud, waste or abuse) to the SAO, call the SAO Hotline at 800-TX-AUDIT (892-8348) or submit a report to the SAO's Online Reporting Hotline.
United States Department of Education (USDE) Office of Inspector General (OIG)
The USDE OIG investigates allegations of fraud, waste and abuse related to federal education funds and federally funded programs, including ARRA funds.
