The Connections Grant established campuses that serve as statewide technology demonstration sites – models for the exemplary use of digital content, interactive media, and educational technology for increased student learning. This grant project is focused on building connections among schools, teachers, and students wherein model classrooms and schools can demonstrate the following:
- Student access to digital content and resources anytime, anywhere
- Students access to personal technology tools and school-provided interactive media tools at school, at home, and in the community; and
- Transformative practices in teaching with technology that uses digital content in the classroom and in assignments and activities for students beyond the classroom
Connections grantees actively engage in statewide outreach to connect with other local educational agencies (LEAs) that need assistance with establishing programs that use digital content and district- or student-owned technologies in order to increase student achievement. Through connections made with stakeholders statewide, other districts will benefit when building their own programs for 21st Century competencies using digital content, interactive media, and technology tools at school, at home, and in the community.
