Beginning Teacher Induction and Mentoring (BTIM) Grant Program Cycle 3

The following applicants have been preliminarily selected to receive a grant for the Beginning Teacher Induction and Mentoring (BTIM) Grant Program Cycle 3.

Program Purpose


The purpose of this program is to solicit grant applications from eligible applicants to establish a beginning teacher induction and mentoring program or to enhance an existing mentoring program that will: 

  • provide support and ongoing professional development for beginning teachers
  • improve beginning teacher performance and effectiveness to support student achievement
  • provide support and training for mentor teachers
  • provide training to administrators to support beginning teachers and mentors
  • increase beginning teacher retention
