Limited English Proficient (LEP) Student Success Initiative (SSI) Teacher Training Resources
The following teacher training projects and resources, developed under the LEP Student Success Initiative, address specific needs regarding the instruction of English language learners. The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk at the University of Texas at Austin, the LEP Technical Assistance and Support Center, serves as the lead project coordinator to ensure statewide coordination of resources and training.
Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test (BTLPT) Online Writing Prep Course - $500,000

- Design and administer an online prep course for the writing component of the Bilingual Target Language Proficiency Test
ELL Web Portal - $400,000

English Language Proficiency Standard Trainings - $60,000

- Expand the availability of prekindergarten dual language materials and resources using the Texas School Ready (TSR!) model to programs statewide
