Early College High School (ECHS) Professional Development Training Grant Program

The following applicants have been preliminarily selected to receive a grant for the Early College High School (ECHS) Professional Development Training Grant Program.

Program Purpose


The purpose of this program is to provide professional development and training for Texas Early College High Schools (ECHS) that includes the following major components:

  1. mentor training for curriculum and instruction coaches who will be identified by TEA to work with Early College High Schools to increase academic rigor;
  2. training in effective campus leadership and instructional practices for Early College High School administrators and teachers; and
  3. creation of resources, including a training manual and materials, that will be used to build statewide capacity and allow for replication of best practices from Early College High Schools.
