Beginning Teacher Induction and Mentoring (BTIM) Grant Program Cycle 2

The following applicants have been preliminarily selected to receive a grant for the Beginning Teacher Induction and Mentoring (BTIM) Grant Program Cycle 2.

Program Purpose


The purpose of this application is to solicit grant applications from eligible applicants to establish a beginning teacher induction and mentoring program or to enhance an existing mentoring program that will:

  1. provide support and ongoing professional development for beginning teachers;
  2. improve beginning teacher performance and effectiveness to support student achievement;
  3. provide support and training for mentor teachers;
  4. provide training to administrators to support beginning teachers and mentors; and
  5. increase beginning teacher retention.
