Notice of Proclamation 2014 Publisher Orientation Meeting
Please join us on August 23, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. for a meeting specifically designed for publishers and other instructional content providers. The orientation meeting will address the requirements of Proclamation 2014 and the implementation of recent changes made to both law and the administrative rules that govern the review and adoption process.
The presentations by Texas Education Agency (TEA) staff will discuss several aspects of the upcoming adoption, including the timeline, pricing options, statements of intent to bid, sampling, and correlation instruments. Staff will also highlight the requirements for coverage of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS).
This meeting is a valuable opportunity for anyone interested in submitting instructional materials for adoption in Texas. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with TEA staff and learn about the State Board of Education’s review and adoption process and how recent changes to law and rule will impact that process. We encourage active participation by attendees.

Notice of Meeting for Publishers
Please join us on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Austin, Texas for a meeting designed to solicit input from publishers regarding several matters related to instructional materials. The meeting is intended to provide information about, and solicit input from publishers and other content providers regarding, Proclamation 2014 and suggested revisions to State Board of Education rule.
This meeting is an opportunity for Publishers to provide input regarding the instructional materials review and adoption process in Texas. We invite active participation.
The State Board of Education is scheduled to take action regarding Proclamation 2014 and revising its rules at its April 2012 meeting.
A draft copy of Proclamation 2014 is available on the TEA website.
A copy of the proposed revisions to 19 TAC, Chapter 66 (SBOE rule) will be available on the Texas Register's website begining on February 24th.

Proclamation 2011 Camera-Ready Copy
According to Proclamation 2011, the deadline for publishers to file camera-ready copy that incorporates all required corrections of factual errors is by 5:00 CST on Friday, January 21, 2011.
Publishers may provide this camera-ready copy as either hardcopy pages or PDFs sent on a CD/DVD.

Bidder Handbook for Request for Supplemental Science Materials
The Bidder Handbook to accompany the Request for Supplemental Science Materials has been updated and is now available on the TEA website.
The handbook was revised to include information and dates for the review of materials for the elementary/middle school grades.
