Application for Residential Placement

A school district which intends to contract for placement of a student with a residential facility under 19 TAC §89.61 must notify TEA through the residential application process.

Grants Administration

Grants Administration facilitates funding as authorized by law to schools in support of formula programs and initiatives to improve student learning and the high school graduation rate. The Division of Formula Funding is responsible for providing both federal and state funds to eligible local educational agencies through a granting process where entitlements and allocations are determined by formula.

High-Cost Fund

A high-need child with a disability has a significant financial impact on the budget of the LEA due to the high costs associated with providing direct special education and related services. For more information go to High Cost Fund Information.

Maintenance of Effort Guidance
