Target Setting
States are required to establish rigorous and measurable targets for the indicators in the SPP. The Texas Steering Committee advises the State on targets for Indicators 2, 3A, 4A, 5A-C, 6, 7, 8, 14, 18, and 19. Targets for 1, 3B and 3C are reflective of No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements. Compliance targets set by the USDE Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), reflective of IDEA 2004 statute, are 0% for Indicators 4B, 9 and 10 and 100% for Indicators 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, and 20.
Public Reporting
The State is required to public report on its performance against state targets in the annual performance report for each of the following Federal Fiscal Years (FFY) listed below.
