A potential waiver to extend the time period for obligating certain federal fiscal year 2009 Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) funds and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) funds is available from the U.S. Department of Education. At this time, the Texas Education Agency is determining whether to request the
waiver.
