2012-2013 Special Education Planning Amounts

Planning Amounts

Planning amounts for the programs included in the 2012-2013 Special Education Consolidated Application are now available for local educational agencies (LEAs) to view and download. LEAs may select from two consolidated reports to locate their maximum entitlements.  One report is sorted alphabetically by LEA name, and the other is sorted by education service center region number and alphabetically by LEA. The reports are as of June 4, 2012, and are subject to change.

Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system. To apply, applicants must have appropriate Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEASE) access. Applicants who do not have TEASE access for eGrants should visit the TEASE Information Center

If you need further assistance, please call the eGrants Help Desk at (512) 463-7025, or email egrants@tea.state.tx.us.

 Accessing the eGrants Application

On June 1, 2012, applicants may locate the 2012-2013 Special Education Consolidated Application through TEASE via eGrants as follows:
1. Open the drop-down list titled “Available Grant Programs in eGrants.”
2. From the drop-down list, select “2012-2013 Special Education Consolidated Grant Application.”

 Deadline to Apply

Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system by 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Monday, September 12, 2012. Applications are effective on the date received in TEA in substantially approvable form, or July 1, 2012, whichever is later.

Reporting Deadlines

Reporting deadlines for programs approved in the 2012-2013 Special Education Consolidated Grant Application can be viewed on the TEA Grant Opportunities page by searching for an individual grant or program and by year.  LEAs that are awarded grants are responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Failure to meet deadlines may result in loss of funds and could cause the LEA to be identified as “high risk.”
