Local educational agencies (LEAs) may select from two consolidated reports to locate their entitlements. One report is sorted alphabetically by LEA, and the other is sorted by education service center region number and alphabetically by LEA. The reports are as of September 17, 2012, and are subject to change.  If you have any questions regarding the entitlement amounts, please email the Division of Grants Administration at GAFPC@tea.state.tx.us

2012-2013 RLIS Applicant Designation and Certification

On Monday, September 17, 2012, the 2012-2013 RLIS Applicant Designation and Certification (ADC) form for the 2012-2013 RLIS Grant Application opened in eGrants. The 2012-2013 RLIS ADC form initiates the application process for the 2012-2013 RLIS Grant Application.  Eligible applicants use the ADC form to identify how they will apply in the grant application for the funding source. The information that is submitted on this form is considered to be binding.  Applicants are advised to complete the process of obtaining local board approval, as appropriate, and ensure accuracy before submitting the form.  The RLIS ADC form, once certified and submitted by eligible applicants, will activate the 2012-2013 RLIS Grant Application.

How to Apply

Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system.  To apply, applicants must have appropriate Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEASE) access. Applicants who do not have TEASE access for eGrants should visit the TEASE Information Center online.  An overview of the request process can be found at TEASE online.  If you need further assistance, please call the eGrants Help Desk at (512) 463-7025 or email egrants@tea.state.tx.us.

Accessing the RLIS ADC and Grant Application

On September 17, 2012, applicants may locate the RLIS ADC form through TEASE via eGrants as follows:

  1. Open the drop-down list titled “Available Grant Programs in eGrants.”
  2. From the drop-down list, select “2012-2013 Title VI, Part B Rural and Low-Income School Program Grant Application.”
  3. On the Grant Menu screen, select “2012-2013 Title VI, Part B R&L Applicant Designation Form.”

Once the 2012-2013 RLIS ADC form is submitted, the 2012-2013 RLIS Grant Application will become available.

Deadline to Apply

Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system by 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Wednesday, October 31, 2012.  Applications are effective on the date received in TEA in substantially approvable form, or September 17, 2012, whichever is later.

Reporting Deadlines

LEAs that are awarded grants are responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Failure to meet deadlines may result in loss of funds and could cause the LEA to be identified as “high risk.”

The reporting requirements for this grant are posted on the TEA Grant Opportunities page. In the “Select Search Options” box, select the name of the RFA from the drop-down list. Scroll down to “Critical Events” to view all reporting deadlines that pertain to this grant.
