Languages Other than English (LOTE) Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills
Background
The State Board of Education (SBOE) has legislative authority to adopt the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for each subject of the required curriculum. SBOE members nominated educators, parents, business and industry representatives, and employers to serve on the review committees. This page provides information regarding the review and revision of the languages other than English TEKS.

SBOE Languages Other Than English TEKS Review Committees
The following list includes individuals appointed by the SBOE to serve on languages other than English (LOTE) TEKS review committees. LOTE TEKS review committees are expected to begin work on the LOTE TEKS in June 2013 and will make recommendations to the SBOE this fall.
