View official certification records on Texas educators on the following link. First and last names must be entered to locate an educator's certification and endorsements. The name must match what is in the TEA database.
The Texas Education Agency (TEA), Division of Educator Certification, Standards and Fingerprinting will no longer provide individually prepared letters of professional standing, statements of eligibility, disciplinary history, certification status, and verification of certification routes –university, alternative or certification by examination. An official letter regarding certification routes is now available online (PDF, 154.57 KB). Certification information may be obtained from the Official Record of Educator Certificates accessed through the TEA website at www.tea.state.tx.us. Click on “Educator Certification”, and then click on “Certificate Lookup”. To ensure that the certification record belongs to a specific person, an individual who holds a Texas certificate may login to their educator online account and view or print the official certificate.
Highly Qualified Status
TEA does not determine Highly Qualified (HQ) status for No Child Left Behind (NCLB). The educator may contact the school district where they were last employed and request personal information and documentation.
