Educator Certification

Educator Certification has created two step-by-step guides to walk educators through the TEAL and ECOS set up and log in process. If you have trouble setting up your account, you may contact your ESC representative . 

The office of Educator Certification provides the following services to educators and the general public:

Certification

• Qualified individuals recommended by approved Texas Educator Preparation Programs
• Educators who hold appropriate degrees and credentials from another state or another country
• Texas teachers adding certification by examination to a standard classroom certificate  
• Educational Aides
• Renewal of standard educator certificates
• Revalidating a lifetime certificate

Deadline to Apply for Certificates Scheduled for Deletion in Fall 2012
Educators who wish to obtain certificates that are scheduled for deletion in fall 2012, regardless of the route to certification, must meet all certification requirements by August 31, 2012
