School Finance
The Texas Education Agency's Office of School Finance is responsible for administering the Foundation School Program (FSP) and for producing reports and other data related to the FSP. The FSP is the state program that establishes the amount of state and local funding due to school districts under Texas school finance law and that provides the state share of this funding to districts. State and local funds form the majority of Texas public school funding.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING FSP PAYMENTS FOR FY 2012: School districts and charter schools that are scheduled to receive payments in August WILL receive their August 2012 on or before August 25, 2012. This payment will NOT be delayed until September. See the letter from the Legislative Budget Board for more details.
