Charter School Finance
The primary source of funding for charter schools comes from the Foundation School Program (FSP) and is based on the number and types of students attending school (what the agency calls average daily attendance [ADA]). Schools that choose to provide transportation to students receive additional state funds. Charter schools are not entitled to participate in the Instructional Facilities Allotment program or the Existing Debt Allotment program.
