- 2012–2013 Estimate of State Aid Template (This is a very preliminary version of the 2012-2013 Estimate of State Aid Template. Senate Bill 1 adjustments have been made to the formulas; however, the state average variables in the funding data section have not been updated to reflect 2012-2013 estimates. The templates above reflect changes to the ASATR formula and incorporate school districts' tax collection data to calculate the Method 1 and Method 2 Foundation School Program (FSP) variables for charter schools funded on the resident district/state average hybrid formula.
Please note estimates of state aid calculated during the school year are based on projected charter school and school district attendance estimates, estimated school district maintenance and operations (M&O) tax rates, and estimated tax collections. The greatest value of the Estimate of State Aid Report is in explaining the basis of cash distributions to charter schools. Estimation of state aid earned can be significantly impacted by factors that will not be known to the State Funding Division until the "Final" Summary of Finances (SOF) is calculated in April. It is strongly recommended that charter schools budget conservatively to accommodate these unexpected changes.
2006–2007 Templates
The variables used for calculating the "Final" SOF have been calculated using the amount of M&O local tax dollars actually collected by each resident district as audited by the resident districts' independent auditors.
2005–2006 Templates
This version of the worksheet reflects the FSP variables calculated using resident school districts' 2006 audited tax collections.
