1. Adopted Amendments to 19 TAC Chapter 61, School Districts, Subchapter II, Commissioner's Rules Concerning High School Allotment

Effective Date: March 3, 2010.

Amended 19 TAC Chapter 61, School Districts, Subchapter II, Commissioner's Rules Concerning High School Allotment, was filed as adopted with the Texas Register under the commissioner's rulemaking authority on February 11, 2010.

The adopted amendments update the rules to reflect statutory changes resulting from the 81st Texas Legislature, 2009. The amendments were adopted with no changes from what was published as proposed.

2. Adopted Revisions to 19 TAC Chapter 101, Assessment, Subchapter AA, Commissioner's Rules Concerning the Participation of Limited English Proficient Students in State Assessments

Effective Date: February 22, 2010.

Revised 19 TAC Chapter 101, Assessment, Subchapter AA, Commissioner's Rules Concerning the Participation of Limited English Proficient Students in State Assessments, was filed as adopted with the Texas Register under the commissioner's rulemaking authority on February 2, 2010.

The adopted revisions implement new assessment requirements for certain limited English proficient students in accordance with House Bill 3, 81st Texas Legislature, 2009. The revisions were adopted with and without changes from what was published as proposed.

3. Adopted Revisions to 19 TAC Chapter 101, Assessment, Subchapter CC, Commissioner's Rules Concerning Implementation of Testing Program

Effective Date: February 22, 2010.

Revised 19 TAC Chapter 101, Assessment, Subchapter CC, Commissioner's Rules Concerning Implementation of Testing Program, was filed as adopted with the Texas Register under the commissioner's rulemaking authority on February 2, 2010.

The adopted amendment and new section implement requirements of House Bill 3, 81st Texas Legislature, 2009, relating to performance standards and end-of-course assessment requirements for graduation. The revisions were adopted with no changes from what was published as proposed.

4. Adopted Amendment to 19 TAC Chapter 129, Student Attendance, Subchapter AA, Commissioner's Rules, §129.1025, Adoption by Reference: Student Attendance Accounting Handbook

Effective Date: March 3, 2010.

Amended 19 TAC Chapter 129, Student Attendance, Subchapter AA, Commissioner's Rules, §129.1025, Adoption by Reference: Student Attendance Accounting Handbook, was filed as adopted with the Texas Register under the commissioner's rulemaking authority on February 11, 2010.

The adopted amendment adopts by reference the 2009-2010 Student Attendance Accounting Handbook Version 2. The amendment and handbook were adopted with no changes from what was published as proposed.
