Preliminary Planning Amounts - Public School Districts Only
Public school district preliminary planning amounts for the 2010-2011 school year have been calculated for the programs included in the NCLB Consolidated Application for Federal Funding (SAS#NCLBAA11) and are provided in a consolidated report format. Local educational agencies (LEAs) may select from two consolidated reports to locate their preliminary planning amounts. One report is sorted alphabetically by LEA name and the other is sorted by Educational Service Center Region number and alphabetically by LEA.
Note that eligibility and planning amounts for special LEAs, including open-enrollment charter schools, South Texas ISD, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and Texas School for the Deaf, will be determined based on the submission of the 2010–2011 SC5010-NCLB Data Request Form for Federal Funding as well as final U.S. Department of Education allocation data to be released in June 2010. Therefore, planning amounts for these entities will not available until July 2010.

2010-2011 NCLB Applicant Designation and Certification (ADC)
On Monday, June 7, 2010, the 2010–2011 NCLB Applicant Designation and Certification (ADC) form for the 2010–2011 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant is scheduled to open in eGrants. The 2010–2011 NCLB ADC form initiates the application process for programs in the 2010–2011 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant application.
Eligible applicants use the ADC form to identify how they will apply in the grant application for each funding source. The information that is submitted on this form is considered to be binding. Applicants are advised to complete the process of obtaining local board approval, as appropriate, and ensuring accuracy before submitting the form. The NCLB ADC form, once certified and submitted by eligible applicants, will activate the 2010–2011 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant application.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system. To apply, applicants must have appropriate Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEA SE) access. Applicants who do not have TEA SE access for eGrants should visit the TEA SE Information Center online. An overview of the request process can be found at TEA SE online. If you need further assistance, please call the eGrants Help Desk at (512) 463-7025 or e-mail email@example.com.
Accessing the NCLB ADC and Grant Application
On June 7, 2010, applicants may locate the NCLB ADC form through TEA SE via eGrants as follows:
1. Open the drop-down list titled “Available Grant Programs in eGrants.”
2. From the drop-down list, select “2010–2011 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant Application.”
3. On the Grant Menu screen, select “2010-2011 NCLB Applicant Designation and Certification.”
Deadline to Apply
Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system by 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Applications are effective on the date received in TEA in substantially approvable form, or July 1, 2010, whichever is later.
The following table lists reporting deadlines for programs approved in the 2010–2011 NCLB Consolidated Federal Grant application. LEAs that are awarded grants are responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Failure to meet deadlines may result in loss of funds and could cause the LEA to be identified as “high risk.”
