The links in the table below open files with information on the variables used by the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) Aggregate Data System. The variable naming schemes are available as an Excel or text file for each year. The text files can be opened in Notepad. To open the Excel files, the Microsoft Download Center website has an Excel Viewer that can be downloaded for free.
