Entitlements for the 2010-2011 Student Success Initiative Grant Application are available and may be viewed through the links below. Local education agencies (LEAs) may select from two consolidated reports to locate their entitlements. One report is sorted alphabetically by LEA name and the other is sorted by Education Service Center (ESC) Region number and alphabetically by LEA.

Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants are independent school districts and open-enrollment charter schools with grade 3 students who did not pass the 2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) reading section during the first administration and grade 5 students who did not pass the 2010 TAKS mathematics section during the first administration.
Project Period
Plan for a project starting date of no earlier than September 1, 2010, and an ending date of no later than August 31, 2011.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system. To apply, applicants must have appropriate Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEA SE) access. Applicants who do not have TEA SE access for eGrants should visit the TEA SE Information Center online. An overview of the request process can be found at TEA SE online. Accessing the SSIG application
On September 1, 2010, applicants may locate the SSIG application through TEA SE via eGrants as follows:
- Open the drop-down list titled “Available Grant Programs in eGrants”
- From the drop-down list, select “2010-2011 Student Success Initiative Grant Application”

Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system by 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Friday, October 15, 2010.

- Grant Period: 09/01/2010 – 08/31/2011
- Final Expenditure Report: 09/30/2011
- Revised Final Expenditure Report: 10/31/2011
