Planning Amounts
Planning amounts for the 2010-2011 school year have been calculated for the Title VI, Part B Rural and Low-Income School Program (RLIS) SAS#RLISAA11. Local educational agencies (LEAs) may select from two consolidated reports to locate their planning amounts. One report is sorted alphabetically by LEA name and the other is sorted by Educational Service Center Region number and alphabetically by LEA.

2010-2011 RLIS Applicant Designation and Certification (ADC)
On Wednesday, September 15, 2010, the 2010–2011 RLIS Applicant Designation and Certification (ADC) form for the 2010–2011 RLIS Grant is scheduled to open in eGrants. The 2010–2011 RLIS ADC form initiates the application process for the 2010–2011 RLIS Grant application. Eligible applicants use the ADC form to identify how they will apply in the grant application for each funding source. The information that is submitted on this form is considered to be binding. Applicants are advised to complete the process of obtaining local board approval, as appropriate, and ensuring accuracy before submitting the form. The RLIS ADC form, once certified and submitted by eligible applicants, will activate the 2010–2011 RLIS Grant application.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system. To apply, applicants must have appropriate Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEA SE) access. Applicants who do not have TEA SE access for eGrants should visit the TEA SE Information Center online. An overview of the request process can be found at TEA SE online. Accessing the RLIS ADC and Grant Application
On September 15, 2010, applicants may locate the RLIS ADC form through TEA SE via eGrants as follows:
1. Open the drop-down list titled “Available Grant Programs in eGrants.”
2. From the drop-down list, select “2010–2011 Title VI, Part B Rural and Low-Income School Program Grant Application.”
3. On the Grant Menu screen, select “2010-2011 Title VI, Part B R&L Applicant Designation Form.”
Deadline to Apply
Eligible applicants must apply through the eGrants system by 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Wednesday, October 29, 2010. Applications are effective on the date received in TEA in substantially approvable form, or September 15, 2010, whichever is later.
Reporting Deadlines
The following table lists reporting deadlines for the 2010–2011 RLIS Grant application. LEAs that are awarded grants are responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Failure to meet deadlines may result in loss of funds and could cause the LEA to be identified as “high risk.”

- Evaluation Report Due Date: 8/1/2011
- Final Expenditure Report: 10/31/2011
- Compliance Report Due Date: 8/1/2011
*Pre-award costs are allowed back to 7/1/2010.
