Complaint Process

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), requires states to adopt written procedures for the receipt and resolution of complaints alleging violations of law in the administration of covered programs.

TEA requires that complaints be in writing and submitted to Complaints Management.  Additional requirements for a complaint under NCLB and the procedure by which such complaints are handled can be found in TEA's NCLB Complaint Process / Proceso de la Queja de NCLB.
