PEIMS - 2011-2012 Data Collection Schedule

PEIMS data files are submitted four times each school year following a schedule established by the PEIMS Data Standards:

Fall/Collection 1

Fall data are used to:

  • Calculate compensatory entitlement
  • Monitor special programs
  • Report to the federal government
  • Calculate retention
  • Calculate basic profiles for AEIS
  • Perform desk audits

Important Fall Dates:

 

  • 09/30/2011 -- Close of school-start window
  • 10/17/2011 -- EDIT+ ready to process data
  • 10/28/2011 -- Snapshot Date
  • 10/31/2011 -- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept district and ESC files
  • 11/11/2011 -- Manual PID corrections due at TEA
  • 12/08/2011 -- First submission due date for Districts and ESCs
  • 12/16/2011 -- Manual PID corrections due at TEA
  • 01/19/2012 -- Resubmission due date for Districts and ESCs
  • 02/23/2012 -- Date available to customers

Midyear/Collection 2

Midyear data include:

  • Actual audited financial data from the previous year (2010-2011)

Midyear data are used to:

  • Report to the state legislature
  • Monitor special program expenditures
  • Audit districts
  • Perform desk audits

Important Midyear Dates:

  • 10/17/2011 -- EDIT+ ready to process data
  • 01/05/2012 -- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept district and ESC files
  • 02/02/2012 -- First submission due date for Districts and ESCs
  • 02/16/2012 -- Resubmission due date for Districts and ESCs
  • 03/08/2012 -- Data available to customers 

Summer/Collection 3

Summer data include:

  • Student attendance data
  • Course completion data
  • Discipline data
  • Restraint data
  • Title I, Part A data

Summer data are used to:

  • Calculate FSP final allotments
  • Calculate attendance and course completion
  • Create a portion of the AEIS
  • Augment the monitoring of special programs
  • Perform desk audits

Important Summer Dates:

  • 04/11/2012 -- EDIT+ ready to process data
  • 05/14/2012 -- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept district files
  • 05/31/2012 -- Manual PID corrections due at TEA
  • 06/21/2012 -- First submission due date for Districts
  • 06/21/2012 -- Manual PID corrections due at TEA
  • 07/12/2012 -- Resubmission due date for Districts*
  • 09/20/2012 -- Data available to customers

Extended/Collection 4

Extended year data include:

  • Optional extended year program (OEYP) data
  • Extended school year services (ESY) data
  • Bilingual/ESL summer school program

Extended year data are used to:

  • Calculate ESY funding
  • Calculate BIL/ESL summer school funding
  • Monitor special programs
  • Perform desk audits

Important Extended Year Dates:

  • 04/11/2012 -- EDIT+ ready to process data
  • 08/09/2012 -- EDIT+ ready for ESCs to accept district files
  • 08/25/2012 -- Manual PID corrections due at TEA
  • 09/06/2012 -- First submission due date for Districts
  • 09/22/2012 -- Manual PID corrections due at TEA
  • 09/27/2012 -- Resubmission due date for Districts
  • 10/25/2012 -- Data available to customers
