Amended 19 TAC Chapter 249, Disciplinary Proceedings, Sanctions, and Contested Cases, was filed as adopted with the Texas Register on November 29, 2011.
The adopted amendments to 19 TAC Chapter 249 update statutory and administrative rule references, as well as clarify and streamline the SBEC disciplinary procedures and standards. The amendments to 19 TAC §§249.3, Definitions; 249.14, Complaint, Required Reporting, and Investigation; Investigative Notice; Filing of Petition; 249.15, Disciplinary Action by State Board for Educator Certification; 249.18, Jurisdiction; 249.37, Exceptions and Replies; 249.41, Procedure for Reprimand; Restriction; and 249.42, Procedure for the Suspension, Surrender, or Revocation of a Certificate, were adopted with changes. All other amendments were adopted with no changes from what was published as proposed.
