CPS Regional Education Specialist Contacts
Each of the 11 DFPS regions has at least one Education Specialist who serves as an education consultant and provides assistance to DFPS staff, school staff, and external stakeholders on education issues related to children and youth in foster care. DEducation FPS Region 3, Dallas/Fort Worth area and DFPS Region 6, Houston area, have two Regional Education Specialists. Educators may work with DFPS Education Specialists in the school setting on behalf of students in foster care.
