Dropout Prevention Grants and Initiatives
TEA manages numerous programs targeted for dropout prevention and recovery. The goal is to implement proven dropout prevention strategies targeted to the needs of students at risk of dropping out of school. Dropout prevention grant programs managed by the agency include:
- 21st Century Community Learning Centers
- Amachi Mentoring
- Communities In Schools (CIS)
- Early College High School
- T-STEM Academies
- Texas GEAR UP
Eligibility
Please check each program page for more details as eligibility requirements are specific for each program. Depending on these requirements, grants may be open to eligible school districts and open-enrollment charter schools, regional education service centers, non-profit organizations, or a collaboration of these entities.
