Texas Government Code, §2001.039, establishes a four-year rule review cycle for all state agency rules, including State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) rules. The rule review is designed to ensure that "the reason for adopting or readopting the rule continues to exist." This rule review plan was approved by the SBEC in October 2010 and revised in October 2012. Please note that amendments to rules specified in the plan may be proposed at different dates through a separate rulemaking process.
