Texas Education Agency launches heart screening project on Valentine’s Day
AUSTIN – Each year, there are Texas families that face the devastating loss of a child who dies from an undetected heart condition. The Texas Education Agency and medical partners on Thursday will announce a pilot project to detect this silent killer.
A press conference will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the lobby of the Heart Hospital of Austin at 3801 N. Lamar Blvd. to announce this groundbreaking project.
