High School Completion and Success Initiative Council to meet Friday
AUSTIN – The High School Completion and Success Initiative Council will meet at 10 a.m. Friday in room 1-104 of the William B. Travis State Office Building located at 1701 N. Congress Ave. The council will discuss and may take action on the development of a strategic plan to increase college readiness and reduce dropouts. The council will also receive invited testimony from grantees and from private foundations supporting high school reform in Texas.
The council was created by House Bill 2237. The legislation directs the council to improve the effectiveness, coordination and alignment of high school completion and college and workplace readiness efforts.
