Student art exhibit features work from Dallas and Denton school districts
AUSTIN— Artwork from more than 125 students is on display at the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Commission on the Arts, and the Legislative Budget Board featuring visual arts from the Dallas Independent School District and 3-D art from the Denton Independent School District. The student art exhibit can be viewed through April 11.
TEA and the art commission work together to stage four to six student art exhibits each year as part of an effort to highlight the arts in Texas public schools.
The student artwork on display is available for public viewing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The William B. Travis State Office Building, headquarters for the TEA, is located at 1701 N. Congress Ave. in Austin. The artwork is displayed on the building's first floor. The Texas Commission on the Arts is located at 920 Colorado on the fifth floor of the E. O. Thompson State Office Building. And the Legislative Budget Board is located on the third floor of the Robert E. Johnson State Office Building at 1501 N. Congress Ave.
