Commissioner of Education
Michael Williams announced today that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has identified
11 campuses across the state to take part in a best practices case studies
Each of the 11 campuses were designated by TEA as High
Performing and High Progress Title I Reward School.

School districts and charters have been advised by
Commissioner of Education Michael Williams that due to the transition to revised
curriculum standards in mathematics, State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) assessments
for grades 5 and 8 mathematics will be administered only once in the
2014–2015 school year.

The Texas Education Agency today released the findings of the Teaching, Empowering, Leading, and Learning (TELL) survey taken by more than 83,000 educators. The survey examined whether teachers have the support necessary to teach effectively.
