The Texas Education Agency has identified six open-enrollment charter schools that meet the legislative criteria for mandatory revocation of their charter under Senate Bill 2. Revocation for all six would be effective June 30, 2014.

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has identified Title I schools and charters eligible for additional federal funding to strengthen performance on its campuses. The identification is a component of the state’s conditional waiver from the U.S. Department of Education to specific provisions of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), commonly known as the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001.
