Important Announcement Regarding FSP Payments for Fiscal Year 2012

School districts and charter schools that are scheduled to receive payments in August WILL receive their August 2012 payment on or before August 25, 2012. This payment will NOT be delayed until September. See the letter from the Legislative Budget Board for more details.

2011 Actual and 2012 Budgeted PEIMS Financial Data Now Available 

Recently released Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data are now available on the agency website.

Downloadable 2011 actual and 2012 budgeted data are available through the PEIMS Financial Data Downloads page. The data are available in three formats: single file (.csv), multiple file (.txt), or Microsoft Access database (.mdb).

Financial reports of 2011 actual and 2012 budgeted data for a particular district or campus are available through the PEIMS Financial Standard Reports page.

Please note that both of these pages are also accessible through links on the main School Finance Reports and Data page. See the first two links under the heading "Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) Financial and Standard Reports."

Commissioner Williams approves academic partnership agreement between Premont ISD and Texas A&M University-Kingsville

Commissioner of Education Michael L. Williams today announced he has approved a proposal presented to the Texas Education Agency in a memorandum of understanding that establishes an academic partnership between the Premont Independent School District and Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

Commissioner of Education Michael L. Williams today joined representatives of Think Through Math (TTM), a Web-based math program, at a ceremony presenting a check for $11,367 to the American Red Cross West, Texas Relief Fund.

Commissioner Williams to attend first meeting of El Paso board of managers

Commissioner of Education Michael L. Williams announced today that he will attend the first formal meeting of the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) board of managers.  The meeting, which will include an official swearing-in ceremony and selection of board officers, will take place on Tuesday, May 7, in El Paso.

Commissioner Williams visits West ISD

Commissioner Michael L. Williams today met with administrators, educators and students in the West Independent School District to assess the district’s needs for the remainder of the school year. West ISD began classes this week following a tragic explosion that devastated the community on April 17.
