Admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) committee members should use the important resources below to guide decisions about a student’s participation in the Texas Assessment Program, which includes the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR™), the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS), and the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). Decisions should be based upon the student’s educational need(s) and how he or she accesses the state-mandated curriculum, the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), as documented in each student’s individualized education program (IEP).

NoteARD committee resources on this webpage are subject to updates and revisions. The date shown on each document will indicate when the document was last revised.
