The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills–Modified (TAKS–M) Technical Report details the technical characteristics of the TAKS–M program. This report presents information about the development, implementation, scaling, equating, and technical attributes of the TAKS–M for students who have a disability that significantly affects academic progress in the grade-level curriculum and precludes the achievement of grade-level proficiency within a school year. These students are not able to participate in the regular Texas assessment program even with accommodations. An integral element of this technical report is the statistical analyses that were conducted in support of the development of the TAKS–M and include the TAKS–M spring 2008 operational test data study analyses.
