Every question that appears on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) is grounded in the knowledge and skills statements and student expectations within the state-mandated curriculum, the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Please note that every year the TAKS tests may represent varying combinations of TEKS student expectations. It is important that educators teach the entire curriculum so that students can develop a complete understanding of the content.
