Title: STAAR Alternate Implementation
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Audience: Open to ESCs and districts

Summary: The presentation will provide updates for setting up teachers and students in the Texas Assessment Management System. Guidance on selecting the appropriate task for a student, planning the task for the observation, and documenting student performance will be presented to teachers and supervisors using new PowerPoint resources. Examples of specific tasks will be highlighted. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions regarding task implementation.

Title: STAAR Alternate Updates
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Audience: Open to ESCs and districts

Summary: The presentation will provide updates on the Texas Assessment Management System, the procedures for the Validity Audit and the Interrater Reliability Study, and testing violations. The appropriate use and security of the documentation form will be discussed. Supervision focusing on specific procedures for monitoring test administrators during the assessment window will be provided.

Title: Accomm/SpEd Assess: Testing Q&A
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Audience: Open to ESCs and districts

Summary: This TETN will focus on answers to questions in preparation for March and April 2013 testing. Questions may be about test administration topics (e.g., grouping students for testing, test administration directions, accommodations, Optional Test Administration Procedures and Materials, IEP documentation) for students receiving special education services taking any of the TAKS or STAAR assessments. An e-mail soliciting questions for this TETN will be sent out to region and district testing and special education coordinators prior to this event. General updates about statewide assessment accommodations for students with disabilities and/or about STAAR Modified may be addressed as well.
